Coronavirus Escaped from Wuhan Lab? There are several angles to the story!

All that started from a media investigative report from the US. The report claimed that the first infection happened from bat to human and the first patient worked at the Wuhan Virology Laboratory. This was the first report that pointed to the possibility of the theory that the Coronavirus Escaped from Wuhan Lab.

The report suggests that the person zero worked in the laboratory that was investigating the virus – The Wuhan Institute of Virology. However, the report has ruled out the possibility of it being bioweapon. Instead, the investigative report suggests that the virus occurs naturally among the bats.

It may be noticed that the Chinse authorities blame it on the Wet market at Wuhan. The report suggests that the patient zero accidentally got infected and then passed it the boyfriend which ultimately reached the Wet market that later went on to become the epicentre of the Coronavirus or COVID-19 disease.

It should be noticed that the US Embassy officials two years ago had raised concerns about the safety of the Wuhan Institute of Virology. The highly contained laboratory has always been blamed of lacking the trained officials and investigations.

Even Trump talked about it

The US President Donald Trump also seems to have taken cognizance of the report. He claimed that his government will be looking into the reports that the virus escaped from Wuhan lab. “We’re looking at it, a lot of people are looking at it. It seems to make sense,” he commented at the White House news conference on Friday.

There have been Fox News reports that suggest that intelligence investigations are on to get more information about the virology laboratory and the reasons for the initial outbreak. China has long been accused of covering up the pandemic and its actual rise – it may be remembered it raised the Wuhan death toll abruptly only recently.

China Refutes the Cover-up!

As expected, China has refuted the claims that there is no Coronavirus originated from the Wuhan Institute f Virology. There are several theories being put forward and none of them have been observed to be pointing to the actual truth.

The vice director of the Wuhan Institute of Virology has claimed that there is no possibility of the virus of having escaped from the laboratory. Zhiming Yuan stated that “There is no way this virus came from us,… We have a strict regulatory regime and code of conduct of research, so we are confident.”

However, the theory that the virus was man-made has efficiently been refuted. The virus was actually found on the bats and was not found to be harmful for the humans. If someone had to engineer a strain to use as a bio weapon or even as a means to investigate into it, one would have opted for a strain that has proved to be detrimental for the humans.

It should be noticed that China has come under a serious pressure for the lack of transparency that it has shown in handling the pandemic and working in an effective way to manage the information. Ever since the virus has been affecting the world over, the discussion about the origin of the disease has been focussed on Wuhan Institute of Virology and the nearby Huanan Seafood Market.

The Wuhan Institute of Virology has been one of the topmost institutes in China and is capable of handing the dangerous viruses. The vice director Yuan Zhiming came up with the detailed information in the first ever media interview. He stated that “We know what kind of research is going at the institute and how the institute manages viruses and samples. There is no way that virus came from us,”
