Even as the California authorities have decided to allow the reopening of several types of units from July 7, Disneyland appears to have a different idea. The information that Disneyland delays reopening its theme parks was made public through a statement on Twitter.
The reason for avoiding the reopening on the scheduled July 17 has been cited to be the lack of proper guidelines from the Californian authorities. However, it appears all set to reopen the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.
The statement from Disneyland stated that,
The Theme Park in Florida will begin operating from July 11. Of course, they do need to abide by the state guidelines and obtain the approvals from state officials. It may be worthwhile to notice that theme parks from Disney in both the states have been closed since mid-March.
Even after the parks open, the visitors are expected to abide by a few specific guidelines. The visitors will be checked with thermal guns on entry and anyone older than the age of 2 will have to wear face masks. Even when the park opens, a few events and attractions are likely to remain closed. Events such as parades and character greetings will be curtailed. Moreover, you would not be able to visit multiple parks on the same day.
While Disney came up with the announcement that the theme park in California will not open on the proposed date of July 17, it has not yet indicated the possible date fro reopening.
