Earhtquake in Afghanistan as well
A quake of 6.3 magnitude hit Afghanistan on Sunday, as reported by the Geological SUrvey of United States. This is the second earthquake reported in the region after strong earthquake and aftershocks killed thousands of people in the region.
The epicentre of the quake was reported to be 34 kilometers (21 miles) outside Herat, the provincial capital, and eight kilometers (five miles) below the surface. There were no immediate reports available about any casualties.
The October 7 earthquake left the entire village of Herat in rubbles. Almost 90% of the population was eliminated. In fact, it was found that the number of volunteers and rescue workers outnumbered the survivors. That should perhaps give an idea into the devastation caused by the earthquake.
Coming back to the earthquake in Delhi in India, police have alerted the people not to use elevators and stay away form large buildings, trees and pillars.
