Tesla founder Elon Musk has come up with a new idea to make the traditional headphones a thing of the past, and turn them completely obsolete. He claimed that his new Neuralink gadget would be able to stream music directly into the brain.
He made a claim when answering a question from a Twitter user. If implemented, it can definitely be a huge improvement. It would change the meaning of headphones as we use them and the terms Wireless would be truly WIRELESS as we would need no headphones at all.

The tech giant believes that his new product, Neuralink, would be used as a brain implant and will stream music straight into your brain.
What is Neuralink?
Neuralink is a new startup founded by Elon Musk. The company is involved in developing computer brain interfaces that can be implanted into the human brain. The idea is to let the humans code and handle the growing influence of artificial intelligence.
The idea behind Neuralink is to opt for the implant of gossamer-thin wires into the human brain. These wires would be supposedly thinner than a human hair, and they will be connected to an external computer. The idea has been to make it completely wireless.
Musk had shared the idea last year when he claimed that there had been successful tests on mice and apes. He wants to share a new update on August 28, and as a precursor to it, he has been sharing a few details on Twitter of late.
How will Neuralink Work?
Well, Musk is yet to let us know the details, and perhaps his August 28 brief may shed some light on the exact manner it would work. Several questions have begun being asked, and we have no answers – at least as of now – to let us understand the exact working.
If we implement neuralink – can we listen to music directly from our chips? Great feature. https://t.co/RwVLnS5JbL

Would we be able to listen to the music just by thinking about it? Or do we need to subscribe to a music streaming service? Elon Musk has also been claiming that his new Neuralink project would cure mental ailments such as depression and anxiety. He even went on to claim that the new technology can help the paralysed people to control devices with ease.
How do we view it?
Elon Musk has always been known to be thinking out of the box and being ahead of his time. The new Neuralink project appears to quite close to his heart as of now, and he even considers it to be a game changer in terms of human interaction with fellow humans or with the machines.
It has been already implanted in rats, and the results are being analysed. However, he claims that the device or implant would be as easy and straightforward as getting a heart monitor. He even went ahead to claim that it would rather be easy and straightforward to communicate with fellow humans. Musk has stated that we would be able to communicate easily without even having to talk.
While it may appear to be a great option in itself, we would find it a bit sci-fi in nature. If it is implemented, it will turn humans into more machine like rather than being humans. Yet another huge issue we would find is that what if a hacker breaks into the system and deliver secret messages? Or begin controlling humans remotely?
Well, there are a lot of questions to be answered. We would only want to wait until the actual results are out. Perhaps the briefing from Elon Musk on August 28 should provide you with an insight into the technology and answer our questions.
