Google recently announced a new improvement and feature on its personal assistant, Google Assistant. You will now get an assignable reminder about practically everything, including birthdays to motivating quotes.
Google Assistant will now be able to send notifications to anyone included in your Family Group that include your children, spouse or anyone else who is included in the group. The person should have their own Google Account and should have linked it with the Family Group.
How to get the feature?
Well, it is quite simple and easy to work with. Just go to the Family group portal and add the members to your family group. You can add their Google accounts. If the family members or anyone you are adding to the family Group does not have a Google account, you will need to create one for them.

Once that done, you can create reminders using their Google account names. You can use the voice commands like “Hey Google, remind [name] that there is a meeting at 6 pm.” Your commands will be turned into the notification alerts and sent in that form to the recipients. The notifications are sent to every device – smartphones, tablets or computers that the particular user is signed into. The notification is received by the intended person twice – when it is created and a specified time.
The notification reminders can be time-specific or location-specific. Google has further claimed that the feature of “Assignable reminders on the Google Assistant help families and housemates better collaborate and stay organized while at home or on the go,”
The feature will be rolling out to the users in the coming weeks.
