With the US Presidential Elections nearing with the set date of November 3, 2020, the Mean Girls cast had a reunite after 16 years. The cast members Tina Fey, Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams and Amanda Seyfried had a virtual reunion with the aim of encouraging the fans to vote in the upcoming elections.
The Virtual reunion was launched on Instagram and was hosted by Katie Couric. If you have not heard about Mean Girls, it is 004 American teen comedy film directed by Mark Waters, and written by Tina Fey. The movie was based on the non-fiction self-help book, Queen Bees and Wannabes that came in 2002 and written by Rosalind Wiseman. The movie talks about the high school social cliques and talks about how it can damage their life.

The movie went on to gross over $130 million worldwide and developed a cult following. This was followed by Mean Girls 2 for TV which premiered on ABC in 2011. Further, the musical adaptation came up on broadway in March 2018. Some of the memorable lines from the movie that would make it interesting would include “On Wednesdays, we wear pink” and “Stop trying to make ‘fetch’ happen” .
The writer of the original film in 2004 talked at length about the movie version of the musical adaptation that was released in 2018. The fan can take part in the casting of the actors for the new movie. You can share your dream cast on this website. The participants in this exercise can get their names featured in the “burn book” which is a diary of gossip and rumors created by Regina George.
Before closing the show and virtual reunion, Chabert asked the fans of the cult movie to vote in the upcoming the Presidentail elections. The fans were encouraged to vote in the Mean Girls way – “Vote on November 3rd. That would be so fetch.”
