What started the National Corn Chip Day?

Well, seriously – we don’t know. The exact history, founder and when it was started is completely an unknown fact. But, the corn chips have been in existence since the 1930s. In fact, Fritos Corn Chip was perhaps the first ever and original corn chip that was sold in the 30s.

A delicacy that presumably has a Mexican origin has two people assigned as its “inventors”. Isador J. Filler  has been believed to the person who thought of making the chips in the rectangular shape and marketing them as chips. He patented it in 1932. Then, Elmer Doolin was the one who came up with Frito Corn Chips and began making them in mass production.

The National Day dedicated to corn chips as the National Corn Chip Day came into being somewhere in 2002 andd has been one of the best events.

How to celebrate National Corn Chip Day?
