Nikki McKibbin, an American singer who was known for finishing at the third place in the American Idol Season 1 has expired at the age of 42. The death of the singer has been confirmed by her husband, Craig Sadler.

It has been reported that she suffered a brain aneurysm on Wednesday and then she was taken off from the life support on Sunday. He did not share the information on where did she breathe her last. Craig Sadler claimed that she was long gone, but was kept on the life support because she was an organ donor and they waited for that to be possible. McKibbin’s son, Tristen Langley, stated that his mother died in Arlington, Texas.
Nikki McKibbin appeared in the first season of American Idol when it was launched in 2002. She went on to become an instant hit. She had impressed the judges and the audience with her performances of the songs by Janis Joplin, Stevie Nicks and Alanna Myles.
