In a rather bizarre case of its kind, a Russian man has claimed for the damages worth $15,000 from Apple. And the reason or the cause for the damages? The man claims that the tech giant turned him to homosexuality!
The complainant has been identified as D. Razumilov and maks claims that he was pushed into a gay relationship because of a minor mistake on his part. This involves the use and sale of cryptocurrencies using an app on his iPhone.
He goes on to complain that he ordered bitcoins through a smartphone app but received the so-called GayCoins. The complainant indicates that
The plaintiff goes on to accuse Apple of causing this agony to him because of what he calls “manipulatively pushing me toward homosexuality,”. He explains “Apple pushed me towards homosexuality through manipulation. The changes have caused me moral and mental harm”.
The suit was filed on Septemeber 20 and has been registered by Moscow’s Presnensky District Court. The court will hear the case on October 17. You can find the official confirmation from the court here.
It may be noticed that the case could evoke a massive uproar if it gets the right exposure. Moscow has a law that bans Gay Propaganda. The law is seen as the option used by the government to outlaw the LGBT activism in the country.
